Tottenham Hotspur have already had a good transfer window, confirming the signing of Lucas Bergvall ahead of time and adding Archie Gray recently. A clear theme has certainly emerged for Ange Postecoglou - He would like to prioritise the transfer of young midfielders to Tottenham.

However, one name who seems to have been forgotten about among all the business is Conor Gallagher - Will Tottenham still need to sign him? Well, with Rodrigo Bentancur and James Maddison proving to be injury liabilities last season, Ange may wish to still bring in Gallagher, who is reliable enough to start every game next season. Only time will tell in that regard, though.

Currently, Gallagher is representing England at EURO 2024 and he has been a key factor in them reaching the quarterfinal stage. While he has mostly been used as a substitute, Gallagher's energy when introduced to the pitch has proven to lift the spiritis of the frankly lacklustre team.

Speaking about Ange Postecoglou's original transfer target, a former Tottenham star player Kieran Trippier has praised Conor Gallagher to the media. He said that oftentimes, Gallagher doesn't get the credit he deserves for carrying out the work which other players may neglect.

In his own words (via The Mirror), Trippier said: “You see Conor doing ‘doggies’ at the end … I don’t think people understand how important that is. He came off at half-time but it showed his mentality to come on and run for the team, do the ugly stuff that people don’t really see.”

This is exactly what Tottenham needed towards the end of last season, someone to do the "ugly stuff" as Trips put it. It remains to be seen whether Conor Gallagher will still join Tottenham as it is now more complicated than it once was but he'd certainly be a welcomed arrival to Tottenham Hotspur.
