By Kian Long
Fabrizio Romano has dropped an exciting transfer update for Tottenham fans. As we are into the final few days of the summer transfer window, Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Tottenham are still active in the market.
So far in the summer transfer window, Tottenham have signed five players; Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Wilson Odobert, Lucas Bergvall and Min-hyeok Yang.
According to Transfermarkt, Tottenham have spent a combined €148.85m (£125m) in the summer transfer window. A respectable tally for a team who wish to qualify for the Champions League.
The summer transfer window closes in England on Friday 30 August at 11pm BST. So, not long left for Tottenham, should they wish to make more additions. That won't stop them from looking, though.
Fabrizio Romano drops exciting Tottenham update before transfer deadline
According to Fabrizio Romano, who spoke to GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham remain active in the summer transfer window in the final days. It is believed they will still seek market opportunities.
Fabrizio Romano could not provide further details, since Tottenham are not currently working on any deals or close to completing any. However, the transfer expert did affirm that Spurs are in the market for good opportunities.
In his own words, Fabrizio Romano said: “I think they're still working on something, and I'm told they're still working on something, but there is still nothing concrete or close to being completed. But I can confirm Tottenham are still in the market for opportunities.”
Speaking to the same source less than a week ago, Fabrizio Romano indicated that a new left-back signing is a possibility for Tottenham in the closing summer transfer window days.
As per GIVEMESPORT, Fabrizio Romano said: "For example, a left-back could be an opportunity that they could follow in the final, final days (of the window)."
That said, Tottenham could also be active in the market for a new midfielder. After all, they have lost a few players in this position already throughout summer.
Tottenham do not play their next Premier League match until this Sunday, when they travel to the North of England to face Newcastle United. Therefore, any new signings will be wrapped up in time to face the Magpies.
Tottenham Hotspur have started the season adequately. They made amends for their slip up GW1 by beating Everton recently. They now sit fifth in the Premier League table, having played two games.
