Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for the new season and are on the hunt for a solid right-back. With Emerson Royal set to join AC Milan, the North London club needs a dependable replacement.

Manchester City defender Issa Kabore has popped up as a top target, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Tottenham's eyeing Kabore to strengthen their right-back spot, especially with Royal likely heading out. With Porro lined up to be the main right-back, Spurs need extra cover to keep things solid at the back. Kabore impressed on loan at Luton Town and is now on Tottenham's radar.

Kabore, a 23-year-old international from Burkina Faso, joined Manchester City in July 2020. His performances at Luton Town were noteworthy, as he made 24 Premier League appearances last season.

Kabore's solid defensive abilities and consistency have made him a valuable asset, with a current market value of around £12 million.

Despite Tottenham's strong interest in Kabore, Romano points out that he is not the only right-back option being considered.

The club is looking at different options to find the right fit for their defense. Archie Gray, who can also play on the right, adds some flexibility to their plans. However, Spurs are determined to bring in a dedicated right-back to boost competition and depth.

Romano elaborated on Tottenham's approach: "Tottenham would look to fill the gap, for sure, because they have Pedro Porro, but they would need one more player. It’s true that Kabore at Manchester City, former Luton Town player, is appreciated by Tottenham. But I’m told he is not the only option. So there are several possibilities being considered."

Bringing in someone like Kabore would strengthen the squad and provide solid competition for Porro, boosting Spurs' defense for the upcoming season.
