According to multiple high level sources, such as Fabrizio Romano, David Ornstein, and Sky Sports News, Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with AFC Bournemouth over the signing of striker Dominic Solanke.

Ornstein reports the deal as “up to £65m”, Fabrizio reports it as “£65m package” and Sky Sports News report it as “£55m+£10m” which all more or less check out with each other.

This deal comes despite the confirmation that Spurs’ Brazilian striker Richarlison will be staying in North London this summer, after the striker said football is bigger than money.

Solanke scored 19 goals for Bournemouth last season, and was on the end of several plaudits throughout the campaign.

The contract for Solanke will be until 2030, according to Fabrizio.

Ornstein mentions in the aforementioned piece that Solanke was the top target for Ange Postecoglu.

He further added that Solanke was “desperate for the move”. The Independent say that the striker sees a move to Spurs as a “once in a lifetime opportunity”

Paul O Keefe has said that Ange believes Solanke has every attribute that he wants in a striker.

Solanke is seen by many as a striker who contributes more than goals, who is able to hold the ball up and bring others into play.

No secret has been made of the fact that Spurs are in need of homegrown players, that at the same time can add quality into the first-team, and Solanke ticks both boxes.

The 26-year old striker played with Spurs attacking midfielder James Maddison with England U21s a few years ago.

This news, coupled with the fact that Richarlison will be playing for Spurs next season, has many fans excited about the attacking options and depth for the upcoming season.

If Spurs are able to bring in a winger on top of Solanke - the attacking options and depth will feel absolutely perfect.
