Dominic Solanke has already made his way into the Tottenham good books, by claiming that a club legend and fan favourite is better than Mohamed Salah, in one regard at least.

Dominic Solanke has played with some of the best players in the game. After all, he has trained alongside Mohamed Salah, Jude Bellingham, Eden Hazard and Harry Kane.

He signed for Tottenham Hotspur in the 2024 summer transfer window. After setting a high bar at Bournemouth last season, the England international arrived with the world at his feet.

However, he unfortunately picked up an injury which saw him out of action for Ange Postecoglou. Still, he returned in the recent North London Derby but he is still without his first Tottenham goal.

Dominic Solanke thinks Tottenham legend is better than Mo Salah

Sky Sports recently asked Dominic Solanke who he believes is the best finisher he's seen. To which, Solanke's answer was easy; his international teammate and Tottenham legend Harry Kane.

In his own words (h/t Express), Solanke said: “Obviously Harry Kane [is the best finisher I've seen]. His finishing is just one of the best-ever. We see that all the time and his finishing is just incredible.”

Despite training alongside some of the best goal-scorers in the world, including Mohamed Salah, Ivan Toney, Didier Drogba and Eden Hazard, Solanke nominated the Tottenham legend.

Harry Kane is one of the best strikers of all-time. It is a story of the past now but he could have broken the Premier League record, if he stayed at Tottenham Hotspur.

Alas, he moved to Bayern Munich in 2023. He has continued his fine goal-scoring form in Bavaria. Despite missing out on the Bundesliga title last season, Kane remains one of the best strikers in the world.

It is an interesting narrative because in many ways, Dominic Solanke was signed to replace Harry Kane. Granted, the replacement was made a year too late but Ange Postecoglou sanctioned some good business in bringing the former Bournemouth star to Tottenham.

Without a doubt, Tottenham fans hope to see the goals come in for Solanke in Lilywhite. After all, he is clearly capable of scoring goals, they just haven't fell to him yet at Tottenham.

Next up for Tottenham, they face Coventry in the EFL Cup third round. Then, they will host Brentford in the fifth game of the Premier League season.
