Australian boss Ange Postecoglou has shown over and over that he's not a regular manager, demonstrating his down-to-earth personality whenever he has the chance, earning the trust and respect of fans and players alike.

After Tottenham striker Richarlison opened up on his mental health in a tell-all interview, the former Celtic manager showed nothing but respect for the Brazilian star, who's having arguably the best season of his career.

“It’s a credit to Richy. He sought help, he got help, the right help, and now he wants others to also benefit from it,” the manager recently told ESPNUK.

"I haven't spoken to Richy but Richy's really benefited from the support that does exist. Not just for him but for others in the community. Because he has benefitted so directly, he's taken on the responsibility of trying to share that around," Postecoglou told reporters on Friday.

Continuing, he stated, "It always makes more of an impact when it's somebody who is high-profile, who's in a position where we think they shouldn't really have any problems or we see it as a sign of weakness when they're looking for help and support. It's a credit to him."

During an interview with ESPN earlier this week, Richarlison discussed his mental health struggles, even revealing that looking for psychological help "saved his life." The impact of therapy has been visible for the 26-year-old, who looks rejuvenated, playing at a high level with Tottenham.

Just like Postecoglou, everybody within the club is behind Richy, who has bounced back after a tumultuous first campaign in North London. So far, in 24 Premier League games, Richarlison has scored 10 goals while dishing three assists. In the process, he scored nine goals in eight matches to show Spurs fans he's one of their best options up front.

Tottenham are putting the pieces together to compete at the highest level in the Premier League, and the cohesion between the managers and the players is a great sign. Postecoglou has shown he has everybody's back on the team, and Richarlison isn't an exception.
