Ange Postecoglou wasn't happy at all after Tottenham succumbed to Arsenal today in the newest edition of the North London derby. The Lilywhites couldn't unlock the game and the Gunners took advantage of every opportunity they had, getting a crucial 3-2 win in the race for the Premier League title.

Following the match, the Greek-Australian boss sent a short but direct message to fans, stating that his team didn't come to play today.

"We let the fans down," Postecoglou said after the match, via Stadium Astro (Hotspur Related).

Arsenal didn't do much to get the 3-0 advantage in the first half of the game, taking the lead thanks to an own goal by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after a corner kick. A lethal counterattack finished by Bukayo Saka extended the Gunners' lead before Kai Havertz scored from yet another corner.

Tottenham tried to get back and tie the game with a goal from Cuti Romero and then a penalty score from Son Heung-min.

It wasn't enough for Spurs, though, who are now 20 points away from Arsenal in the Premier League table. Their Champions League quest also received a big blow with the result, and the team has a lot of questions to answer down the stretch.

This was a poor performance from Ange and co., who couldn't cash in on their opportunities after seeing Arsenal take an early lead they never lost. VAR decisions also played a role in the game, but there's no doubt that the opposition's set pieces were costly for Spurs.

There's a lot of work to be done before facing Chelsea on Thursday. However, Postecoglou is well aware of that and he knows the fans are hoping for a better outcome when the team face other big-six clubs.
