Signing from Sevilla in 2021, the youngster brought with him plenty of promise but in England, it wasn't to be. Reports in Spain suggest that Ange Postecoglou has made it clear he sees no future for Gil at Tottenham.

5. Emerson Royal

Emerson Royal is a player who could still prove himself to Ange Postecoglou between now and the end of the season but he is certainly on thin ice. As a defender who could play anywhere across the back-line, he is a valuable squad member. However, he needs to make a position his own.

According to Transfermarkt, Emerson has only been in the starting eleven 32% of the time in the Premier League this season. Therefore, he must prove himself and stamp his authority on the Spurs starting eleven before the 2023/24 season comes to an end.
