5 most expensive Tottenham signings of all-time
By Kian Long
3. Brennan Johnson (€55m)
So far in this list, Brennan Johnson is the most recent signing and the first of the bunch who was signed by Australian manager Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs announced the signing of Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest in 2023. His transfer fee amounted to €55m, which is understandable given his age (he was 22 years old when being signed).
Johnson has proven to be a good signing for Spurs as he has turned into a key player under Ange Postecoglou. He often doesn't get the praise he deserves but this season, only Son Heung-Min has provided more Premier League assists (10) for Spurs than Johnson (7). He has also scored a handy five goals.
What's impressive about Johnson is that his best days are still to come. For now, Spurs fans can be satisfied with his signing last summer but there is plenty more to come from the Welshman.
