Tottenham are a rich club with great history. They have saw many great signings, particularly since the turn of the 21st century. While they have had their fair share of flops (like any other club), many of their signings have left a positive imprint on the club. 1. Tanguy Ndombele (€62m)

Tottenham's most expensive signing of all-time came in 2019, when they signed Tanguy Ndombele from Olympique Lyon. I think it's fair to say that Ndombele is an example of a "flop" as it was a smart idea for the club to sign him but the player refused to give his all, accused of being lazy and not a great fit for a Premier League competing side.

At the time of writing this, Ndombele is out on loan at Galatasary and is due to return to Tottenham in the summer. From there, the club can decide if they would consider Ndombele in Ange Postecolou's future but it does not seem likely at this stage. Certainly, he is on thin ice heading into the summer transfer window.
