3 positives & negatives from Tottenham's 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest
- Spurs prevailed 3-1 against Forest
- Porro and van de Ven scored
- Tottenham, in Champions League spots
Negative 3: Moments of lack of control
Despite Tottenham leading 3-1, which ultimately was the decisive score, there were moments of loss of control in the match, in both halves, going from a 1-1 tie to having the lead at 2-1 and then 3-1. There were instances of loss of control, and that is something that needs to be corrected because it never truly feels like the team has everything under control, like the team has comfortably managed the match, or like the team has the game in the bag.
Even with the score at 3-1, there were moments of high risk for Tottenham and moments of tension, and that is not a good indicator because we are aspiring to important UEFA Champions League matches or other European competitions, and that is not a positive aspect because, in those games, we will encounter highly motivated teams with a very high intensity, who can decide those matches by the smallest of details.
European football, football in the Champions League, is defined by moments, and Tottenham cannot play like this, thinking that all teams will forgive them.
