He has had some real poor performances lately, but this is perhaps the worst of the lot. Absolutely awful, in and out of possession. Caught ball watching for the Rangers goal. One right-back opens up a defence, whilst the other leaves his man free as a bird to score.

Who knows if it is fatigue, interest from elsewhere playing on his mind, just generally poor form - or a mixture of all three - but it is clear that Porro needs some time out of the side. Had Djed Spence been registered for the Europa League squad, he could have easily come in tonight. That decision gets weirder by the week.

In an ideal world, Ange mixes it up for Southampton, with Spence of course able to play in that game. Wouldn't hold your breathe though.
