There may yet be a reunion in N17, with Frank targeting a Brentford forward.

You should know by now that the transfer rumour mills never cease, folks, no matter the time of year.

We're barely a month removed from the closure of the 2025 summer transfer window, yet reports of Tottenham's potential plans for Janu... sorry, next summer (!) are already surfacing.

The club embarked on an ambitious market search to set Thomas Frank up for success in his debut campaign at the helm. It was pretty chaotic and didn't always look like there was a clear plan in place, but Spurs nonetheless walked away with multiple players who have made an impact right away.

Many are hopeful that a passer in midfield is the priority target for 2026, while an upgrade down the left may also be necessary. Wilson Odobert's development will be key in determining the extent of that need. As it stands, though, it looks like Frank and Spurs are keen to bolster that position, and, having failed to bring in one of his Brentford boys in the summer, the Dane looks set to try again next year.

According to Florian Plettenberg, who has started to take more of a scattergun approach to his reporting. If you thought Fabrizio Romano was bad, try following the Sky Germany reporter for 24 hours. Your timeline will be a rumour-infested mess.

But, he's not totally unreliable, it must be said. He was on top of the Harry Kane saga a couple of years ago, for example.

Anyway, he's reported that Spurs are after Brentford's Kevin Schade, writing that we're "monitoring the development" of the German international. He says the club have shown interest in a potential deal for next summer, with Schade's contract in west London expiring in 2028.

Frank brought the raw 20-year-old to the Premier League in 2022, and Schade's first two seasons at Brentford were forgettable. He missed much of the 2023/24 campaign with a groin injury, but enjoyed the most productive season of his career in 2024/25, scoring 11 league goals.

He's incredibly fast and an impresive athlete. His leap is phenomenal. However, I've seen some compare him to Brennan Johnson in the sense that he's a final action guy. Schade's not yet technically refined enough to function as a touchline winger who can retain possession under pressure or stand up and beat his man one-on-one.

The German certainly has his perks, and has only just shown signs of acclimatising to the English top-flight. He's bound to improve. Let's see where this one goes as the season progresses.
