Louis Saha only spent one half season with Tottenham Hotspur in 2012 after the end of his run with Everton, joining for free in the winter and taking on Peter Crouch's No. 15. In 10 appearances, Saha scored three Premier League goals and added another in the FA Cup quarterfinals. He loved Spurs and manager Harry Redknapp, and he badly wanted to stay, but Spurs released him before he landed at Sunderland, never scoring in 14 matches.

So when Saha speaks about Tottenham, it comes from a place of love, even if he is mostly associated with Manchester United and Fulham. Recently, Saha joined Harry Redknapp, Peter Crouch, and other former Tottenham figures in boldly predicting success for Spurs in 2026/27, and he was perhaps the highest of all of them despite spending the least amount of time at White Hart Lane.

Saha said of Spurs chances next season, via Chris Cowlin, "With the money Spurs are spending this summer, the Champions League is exactly what they are aiming for and will be expecting of Roberto De Zerbi and his players. They are making a statement, spending hundreds of millions and signing good free agents. They are assembling a team to compete with the very best in world football. Spurs have the best infrastructure of any club in world football, and it looks like they are now intending on competing with the very best. They have signed some terrific players, and they will only play one game a week for the majority of next season. Therefore, I expect them to qualify for the Champions League easily next season.”

Louis Saha sees greatness in Spurs already

Perhaps one of the greatest What Ifs of the 2000s, Louis Saha was one of the most talented strikers in the Premier League and impressed on a loaded Manchester United attack before injuries shredded his career. But he made it to Man United as a former Premier League Team of the Season player for Fulham and ended up being a part of two Premier League titles and a Champions League with the Red Devils.

So from that vantage point, Saha also knows what an elite, winning organization looks like, and he is seeing something different about how Tottenham Hotspur are operating since Roberto De Zerbi's arrival at N17.

It is refreshing to see, after months of the media bashing Spurs and begging for their relegation to the Championship, top pundits and former Premier League stars like Peter Crouch and Saha predicting greatness. Saha thinks they will "easily" make it back to the Champions League, and while that is bold, it is music to the ears of Spurs supporters.
