Tottenham's final outing before the October international break sees them travel to the newly promoted Leeds United, who have enjoyed a positive start to the 2025/26 season.
Spurs have struggled through their most recent outings, there's no denying that, but Thomas Frank's side remain unbeaten since the previous interval. After João Palhinha rescued a late point against bottom-of-the-table Wolves, an 89th-minute own goal ensured we escaped the Arctic Circle with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night, having deservedly fallen 2-0 behind.
There are teething issues for the new manager to iron out, but win on Saturday and Spurs' situation will look rosey towards the top of the Premier League table.
However, this is the sort of fixture that has tripped the Lilywhites up in the past. Early kick-off. Newly promoted side. Just before an internationa break. Eek.
Daniel Farke's Leeds were projected to struggle, having secured their return to the top-flight by winning the Championship last season. However, the Yorkies have so far enjoyed an equal split of results through six Premier League games.
They've so far beaten Everton and Wolves, and they head into Saturday's clash off the back of a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last weekend. This has the makings of a banana skin clash for Spurs, who have won emphatically on their previous two visits to Elland Road.
Here's our preview of Saturday's Premier League clash.

Leeds team news

Leeds boss Farke has confirmed that Daniel James is expected to be out of action until after the November international break with an ankle injury. The Welsh international joins Willy Gnonto, Harry Gray (brother of Spurs' Archie) and Lucas Perri on the sidelines.
Ex-Tottenham defender Joe Rodon was on the scoresheet last weekend in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, and he'll retain his place at the heart of Leeds' defence.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has emerged as Farke's starting centre-forward after joining the club in the summer, while fellow new additions Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach and Gabriel Gudmundsson have also made distinct impressions at the start of their careers at Elland Road.
Leeds predicted lineup vs Tottenham: Darlow; Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson; Ampadu, Longstaff, Stach; Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin, Okafor.
Tottenham team news

While Cristian Romero didn't travel to Bodø as a precaution, it's not yet clear whether the skipper will return before the October break. If he isn't fit, Kevin Danso will retain his place alongside Micky van de Ven.
Ben Davies returned to the matchday squad on Tuesday night but will remain on the bench, while Kota Takai has been involved in training. James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are long-term absentees.
Xavi Simons, Destiny Udogie, Mohammed Kudus and João Palhinha are all poised to return to Frank's starting XI on Saturday. Supporters also wouldn't be against Archie Gray making his second Premier League start of the season, given his recent performances.
There's hope Randal Kolo Muani will have recovered from his 'dead leg' in time to feature at Elland Road, but Dominic Solanke has undergone minor ankle surgery and won't be back until after the break.
Tottenham predicted lineup vs Leeds: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Palhinha, Gray; Kudus, Sarr, Xavi; Richarlison.
Leeds vs Tottenham score prediction
A disappointing result would simmer over the international break, just as the Bournemouth defeat did last month. Thus, I'm approaching this fixture with trepidation, especially given the competence Leeds have displayed so far this season.
There's nothing extravagant about Farke's side, but the German's emphasis upon physicality will give them a shot at staying up this season. Moreover, concerns that they won't score enough goals have been alleviated in recent weeks.
I just hope Frank learns from our previous struggles and picks a team that gives us the best chance of efficiently utilising possession. If he gets the team right, I'll back Spurs to produce a feel-good result before the break.
Prediction: Leeds 1-2 Tottenham
