Tottenham Hotspur captain and superstar left winger Son Heung-min will be one of the most in-demand transfer targets this summer for clubs that focus on signing the biggest names in world football who are past their primes.

Son will be 33 years old when the 2025/26 season begins and will be entering the final year of his contract with Tottenham. Chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly open to selling Son for 50 million pounds this year, just one year after clubs in the Saudi Pro League were reportedly offering Tottenham 50 million euros for the South Korean legend.

If Son is ready to wave goodbye to Tottenham after finally winning a European title with Spurs and then watching Ange Postecoglou get fired, then this could be the year he goes. Al-Hilal have been concretely linked to the 32-year-old star and won't be giving up any time soon, especially after losing out on Cristiano Ronaldo before the Club World Cup opener.

Son Heung-min could double his wages

But there's more than just Saudi Pro League clubs interested in Son. According to a report from Turkish outlet Fanatik, Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho is interested in reuniting with Son this summer - so much so that he and the club are fully on board with a Son transfer and have sanctioned a "crazy offer' for him.

The amount of money they will offer Tottenham for a transfer is unclear, but they are reportedly willing to double Son's salary. Currently, Son makes around 10 million pounds per season at Tottenham, so Fenerbahce would therefore be willing to offer close to 23-24 million euros per year to Son.

Although Saudi Pro League sides could offer more, that's still a boatload of money for Son, and he could both play under Mourinho again - one of the best coaches of all time - and also compete in the Champions League for a Fenerbahce side that finished second in the Turkish Super Lig last season. They could even win the title next year with Victor Osimhen leaving Galatasaray if Son were to enter the picutre for Mourinho's Fenerbahce.

It's another transfer destination for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to keep in mind, because if Son wants to go with Mourinho, make great money, enjoy football and life in Turkey, and still compete for prestigious trophies, it's a great alternative to Saudi and Al-Hilal. Tottenham fans should watch for more potential links between Son and Fenerbahce this summer.
