2) Kyle Walker-Peters

In recent months, Southampton manager Russell Martin has publicly said that the defender will not sign a new contract on the South Coast, with his existing contract currently expiring in 2025. Walker-Peters would give Spurs depth on both flanks, and has experience of playing as an inverted full-back under Martin, so would be able to slip in easier than others might.

If he continues to show no signs of signing a new contract at Southampton, the club may feel the need to cash in whilst they still can in January – and subsequently sell for a minimal fee. We know how Spurs like to bargain buy, so this could fit into the type of signing that they would make.
