Tottenham Hotspur have successfully rebuilt their midfield with the blockbuster signings of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali this summer transfer window, and the defense will have a new feel to it, too, with Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke both coming in to replace Cristian Romero and somehow give Spurs even more experienced Premier League depth back there.

Next up, Roberto De Zerbi is making it clear that Tottenham need to address the forwards, and they are not going to simply sit and be complacent this summer transfer window. De Zerbi's words to the press on multiple occasions this past week have sent a clear message to the rest of the Premier League: Spurs are gunning for the top.

After investing nearly 200 million pounds in Tonali and Fernandes, Tottenham fans are waiting to see the caliber of players and the serious money that will be invested in a front line where only Richarlison was remotely productive last season and only Mohammed Kudus and Mathys Tel even remotely threatening for more than just a few games.

Bradley Barcola is available

PSG's Bradley Barcola has been viewed by many Tottenham Hotspur supporters as an ultimate dream target this summer, though his availability was unclear. Even though Real Madrid swooped in and signed Yan Diomande from under the back to back Champions League winners' noses, it looks like Barcola is there for the taking.

Because Fabrizio Romano has dropped a transfer bomba, Barcola wants out. He has told PSG he is not signing a new contract extension with the club, basically leaving the Ligue 1 giants with no choice but to sell. Fab says that he is exploring a move this summer.

So Tottenham have been put on notice that one of the best possible left wing upgrades for them is now officially available on the summer transfer market. The problem, though, is that they are not the favorites at already well behind the eight ball. Liverpool have been highly interested in Barcola as an upgrade over Cody Gakpo, who is interestingly a Tottenham transfer target on the left wing, and Romano says that the Reds are both in the driver's seat and Barcola's top destination right now. He is open to them.

Instead of signing Gakpo, the player Liverpool are replacing, it would make a lot more sense for Tottenham to go after the player they want, Bradley Barcola. He could be very expensive, but he is the caliber of player who can change games and score goals from the left wing, which Spurs desperately need.
