Tottenham Hotspur need another shake up to their attack this summer 2026 transfer window. Last year, they were able to bring on both Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus, who both proved decisive in keeping an otherwise abysmal Spurs attack afloat before they both sustained season ending injuries - and it may take Simons some time to get back on track after a late season ACL tear of his own.

Spurs are already back at the races for more big names players in the attack, and two of the first names on their list are players they came close to signing last summer in Manchester City winger Savinho and Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

There is a lot of optimism for Savinho, especially, because unlike with MGW, there is nobody akin to Evangelos Marinakis holding back a deal. Whereas Man City were reluctant to lose Savinho last summer, the Citizens appear more open to a sale. Pep Guardiola is gone, Man City's new regime seems more open to sales in general, and, well, it's not like Savinho played a whole lot last season in the Premier League, especially after Man City signed Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth.

Savinho deal could be on

According to new information from Fabrizio Romano, not only are talks indeed ongoing between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City for Savinho, but there is both a belief that Savinho wants the Spurs move still and that Man City are open to a sale this time around for the right proposal. Fab said "deal on" as his summation of the transfe rumors linking the Brazilian international to N17.

Savinho can play on both the left and right wing, and Spurs could use help on both sides of the pitch. Dejan Kulusevski's devastating knee injury still has no signs of a return date, so Mohammed Kudus needs another left footer to help back him up. And then on the left, all Spurs really have is Mathys Tel, who is not yet ready to carry the load as the starter.

it sounds more and more likely that Savinho will be headed to Tottenham this summer transfer window, with even Fab hyping up the optimism from the Spurs side about them being able to get the deal over the line after failing pretty miserably last summer transfer window with Daniel Levy in charge. Finally, Tottenham have reason to believe in a blockbuster deal for a young forward from one of Europe's elite clubs.
