Wilson Odobert has suggested the Tottenham squad is enjoying life under new manager Thomas Frank, and the Dane has a fan in his emerging winger.
Odobert joined the club out of the blue ahead of Ange Postecoglou's second season in north London, arriving at a time when the club were focusing on acquiring talented youth with an eye for the future.
The French U21 international had played just one full season in the top flight with Burnley, and merely offered glimpses before Spurs sent £25m the Clarets' way to take him off their hands. Odobert has since come under scrutiny, with the most impatient of supporters convinced the 21-year-old "will never amount to anything," or something along those lines.
His first season was compromised by a long-term hamstring issue after a bright start, and Frank has been forced to lean on the gifted young wide man at the start of his tenure. Entering the November international break, Odobert has notched 14 appearances and recorded three goal contributions.

Frank garnered lofty praise for his capacity to coax every gram of talent out of Brentford's attacking stars during his time in west London. Thus, there was excitement within the fanbase over the magic he could work with some of Spurs' promising young starlets in the final third.
The Lilywhites have the likes of Odobert and Mathys Tel on their books, with the pair often combining to devastating effect for France's U21s. Both, meanwhile, are fighting to make the grade at the senior level, and there's reason to believe they could emerge as stars in N17.
Last time out, Odobert produced his most impactful 45 minutes in Lilywhite, helping Frank's side turn the tide off the bench against Manchester United. His pivot, burst and pass out to Destiny Udogie led to Tel's well-taken equaliser.
Frank was subsequently complimentary of Odobert's lively cameo, suggesting the 21-year-old is "stepping up" for his team. Already, there are signs of the new manager and his coaching staff improving the winger, who merely needs to add a ruthless streak to increase his output.

Nevertheless, Odobert's trending in the right direction, and speaking to French media outlet RMC Sport, he discussed his start to life under Frank: “It’s going very well. Honestly, he has a good work ethic
"I think everyone is happy with him. He has some good game plans. So, it’s top-notch. We have a style of play. A little different, but I think it’s still a good style of play. So, there you have it. After that, we always have to try to find depth to add variety.”
Some might question whether a clear "style of play" has emerged, but it's early doors. Odobert's development, in unison with old PSG pal Xavi Simons and left-sided friend Udogie, may well be crucial in a more distinct identity manifesting in N17.
