When Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank uttered the words, "Who's Eze?" at a press conferene before the North London Derby against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, every single Spurs supporter could only cringe at what was inevitably going to come next.

Because as fate would have it, Eze absolutely cooked Spurs, scoring a hat trick in quick time as if he were the second coming of Robert Lewandowski. Eze was completely unplayable to the cowardly Spurs midfield, which was set up abhorrently by Thomas Frank, whose arrogance in joking about Eze and providing Arsenal fans with that sound bite was richly punished.

To make matters worse, every Tottenham fan knows the transfer story of Eze. Spurs tried to sign him this past summer transfer window, made him their priority target, but ultimately lost out to Arsenal at the last second because they wouldn't fork over a few million pounds extra to make the move happen or negotiate in a favorable way with Crystal Palace. You know, the Daniel Levy way.

Eberechi Eze is the Eddie Brock of the Premier League

And now that Eze has joined his childhood club of Arsenal, he's going to try to make it habit of spanking Tottenham, because what he did to Frank and Spurs on Sunday afternoon was truly an embarrassment.

Via transfer insider Ben Jacobs, Eberechi Eze told Sky Sports after the game against Tottenham that he was literally praying for the opportunity to shreds Spurs. And perhaps those ill advised comments from Frank proved to be the additional motivation he needed to produce a career game in the North London Derby:

"It's special. I prayed for a hat-trick today and I got it, so I am grateful to God. It's fate.

When specifically asked about playing for Tottenham instead of Arsenal if he were to have signed with Spurs in the last transfer window, Eze pretty much dissed his rivals, "Let's not speak about that..."

Tottenham turned their dream transfer target into one of their worst enemies, and there is no question that Frank and the club were taught a valuable lesson by the attacking midfielder in the North London Derby. Eze is sticking his finger in the wound and wagging it by basically saying that joining Spurs instead of Arsenal would have been a terrible move for him and also admitted that he prayed, in Eddie Brock or Drew McIntyre fashion, to be the one to humiliate Spurs and send them on another downfall.
