Ange Postecoglou does not manage Tottenham anymore, but that doesn't mean he's taken his eyes off the players he used to manage.

Tottenham is the biggest club that Ange Postecoglou ever managed. Sure, Celtic has achieved plenty of success and he was key to that during his period in Glasgow, but let's not overlook the pedigree that managing in the Premier League brings.

Despite never finishing inside the Premier League top four, Postecoglou was a success at Tottenham. He won the Europa League with Spurs and, in a way that would have made Frank Sinatra proud, he did it his way.

Now coaching Nottingham Forest, and starting just as poorly as he left off in North London, Ange Postecoglou could benefit from signing one of Tottenham's fringe players.

Ange Postecolglou rescuing Yves Bissouma from Tottenham makes sense

Yves Bissouma, who certainly played his part in the Europa League triumph under Ange Postecoglou last season, is now being linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.

It is believed that, after falling down the pecking order under new manager Thomas Frank, Yves Bissouma is open to continuing his career elsewhere. Ange Postecoglou is keen to welcome him with open arms in the East Midlands.

And, let's be completely frank (if you pardon the pun), this makes sense for all parties.

Starting with Frank, sending Bissouma to Nottingham Forest would be of benefit to him. He could, then, eliminate one player from his midfield plans. Without owing any game time to the Mali international, this allows Frank to finally decide his best starting lineup.

Tottenham has a heated midfield as it is. Players such as Lucas Bergvall, Rodrigo Bentancur, João Palhinha, among many others, are all competing for spots in the central midfield. Therefore, they'd benefit from Bissouma officially removed from the scenario.

For Bissouma himself, he's all but officially removed from the pecking order. He is simply rotting away without getting any minutes so for him, anywhere will do.

As mentioned earlier, Ange Postecoglou is struggling in the East Midlands. While he is doing the most Ange thing imaginable by redirecting every question thrown his way, it doesn't take a genius to recognize he is under pressure.

By signing Bissouma, who is proven under him and in the Premier League already, this gives Ange more options. He needs all the help he can get, and he'd welcome the signing of a player he knows well.
