10 Tottenham Hotspur players were at the World Cup, but two have been eliminated after the group stages. Uruguay, surprisingly, is already out, which means that we will not see any more of Rodrigo Bentancur at the tournament. Also, Andy Robertson's Scotland failed to get out of their group. However, there is still plenty of interest from a Tottenham perspective as we enter the round of 32.

8 Tottenham players still at the World Cup for the Round of 32

🇦🇷 Argentina - Cristian Romero. The center-back started both of Argentina's opening two games of the group stage, which they won. This meant that he was then afforded to be rested as La Albiceleste rounded off a 100% winning start with a 3-1 victory over Jordan. Romero played in every game of the 2022 tournament, which Argentina won. They will be hoping to defend their title, and should make light work of Cape Verde in the round of 32.

🇦🇹 Austria - Kevin Danso. The defender featured in each of Austria's games as they finished second behind Argentina in Group J. Their reward for this is the difficult task of taking on one of the favorites, Spain, in the next round.

🇭🇷 Croatia - Luka Vuskovic. Croatia finished second behind England in Group L. Vuskovic, who was on loan at Hamburger SV last season, was taken off after 66 minutes as Croatia lost 4-2 to the Three Lions in their opening match. He was left on the bench for their final two group stage matches. He has the difficult task of getting back into the starting lineup. Croatia plays Portugal next, so they will need a center-back partnership that will be able to deal with Cristiano Ronaldo.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England - Djed Spence. Djed Spence featured at left-back in England's opening two matches. With Reece James injured, he then had a cameo at right-back as the Three Lions defeated Panama 2-0 in their final group stage match. England plays DR Congo in the next round, and Spence will be challenging for a starting spot. Spence is very recognizable at the tournament as he is wearing protective headgear as he recovers from a broken jaw.

🇸🇳 Senegal - Pape Matar Sarr. The midfielder has only featured in one of Senegal's games at the World Cup this summer. He came on as a substitute as the African side lost 3-2 to Norway. Senegal progressed as one of the best third-placed teams. However, they have the difficult prospect of playing Belgium in the next round.

🇪🇸 Spain - Pedro Porro. The right-back is competing with Marcos Llorente for a starting spot at right-back for Spain. Porro has only played 90 minutes in Spain's 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia. He was left on the bench for their other two group games. Spain topped their group and face Austria next, where we could see Porro come up against Danso.

🇸🇪 Sweden - Lucas Bergvall. The midfielder has featured in all of Sweden's games so far at the tournament. He even got an assist as Graham Potter's side defeated Tunisia 5-1 in their opening game. This was their only victory as they lost to the Netherlands by the same scoreline, and this was followed by a 1-1 draw with Japan. Sweden progressed as one of the best third-placed teams but will face one of the tournament favorites, France, in the round of 32.

🇳🇱 Netherlands - Micky van de Ven. He has featured in an unfamiliar role at left-back for the Netherlands so far in the tournament. Van de Ven played in the Netherlands' opening two games, but was rested for their final match against Tunisia. The Netherlands will play Morocco in the round of 32.
