Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to sell Djed Spence to Inter Milan and Cristian Romero to Atletico Madrid, ending the transfer sagas of two of their biggest sales as they look to clear out squad space and raise funds to afford the blockbuster forwards that Roberto De Zerbi desperately needs in order for Spurs to get back into the Champions League.
But Spence and Romero don't end the potential sales for Tottenham this summer transfer window. Here are three more players Spurs need to try and move on from this summer.
CM Pape Matar Sarr
Pape Matar Sarr is the biggest priority for Tottenham to sell now, and they may try to reengage Brentford to see if they are still interested or reach out to other mid level Premier League clubs willing to take a flier on a decent player and pay Spurs a useful transfer fee.
While Sarr isn't bad and actually did very well at the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season, he does not fit how De Zerbi likes to play at all, as he really struggles to progress the ball or make plays as a passer in possession.
ST Dominic Solanke
Richarlison could just as easily merit consideration as a sale for Tottenham this summer, but Dominic Solanke may have more transfer value since he is a bit younger and went for a record 65 million pounds just a couple of summers ago.
Some may still have Solanke pegged with a high reputation and blame Spurs for his struggles more than the player himself, but since Richarilson scored 11 goals last season to lead the team, Solanke is more expendable to the club.
CM Rodrigo Bentancur
While Rodrigo Bentancur was excellent at the end of the 2025/26 Premier League season when Spurs needed him to be in order to survive relegation, he does not have much long term value to Spurs and is honestly taking up minutes that could go to two stars of the future in Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall. Gray had already beat Bentancur out to the starting job in their roles as holding midfieldes, while Bergvall already made a stink about wanting a transfer out when he realized Spurs were signing both Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali.
The Tottenham midfield has moved past needing Bentancur, and this may be the last summer Spurs can get a good fee for him. With Luca Williams-Barnett rising through the ranks, Spurs have to continue culling midfielders.
