Saturday’s trip to Kenilworth Road had its ups and downs with Richarlison missing open nets and Bissouma being sent off, but Ange’s boys found a way to collect 3 points with a clinical link-up between Maddison and an unexpected Micky Van de Ven.

The international break now arrives at the perfect time for Tottenham

The weekend’s victory was achieved without the likes of new signing Brennan Johnson, among the more seriously injured Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic. Thankfully, with Welsh manager Rob Page stating publicly that he intends to keep Johnson’s play to a minimum in order to reduce the risk of further strain to his hamstring, he should be set to return for our match against Fulham or soon after.

Sonny’s also been managing a groin injury on and off throughout these first months of the campaign and has noticeably often been subbed off earlier than most fans would like to see.

South Korea are set to face Tunisia and Vietnam in their international friendlies and it’s likely Son will continue to feature regularly during these matches with World Cup Qualifiers looming and the AFC Asian Cup in January.

The big question for fans though has consistently been that of the Rodrigo Bentancur situation. The Uruguayan, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury back in February, is set to return at some point in November, pending approval from the medical staff of course.

The return of Bentancur will be an exciting opportunity to see how he’ll factor into an already highly efficient midfield that Ange has worked to cultivate. He will also be a strong addition with defensive midfielder Pierre Hojbjerg being linked with a move away in January.

Spurs’ next match will be on October 23rd at home against Fulham who currently sit 12th in the table. Ange will look to continue the team’s unbeaten run in the Prem, hopefully with the addition of a healthy Brennan Johnson and fully fit Heung-min Son.
