We’ve been waiting for what seems like an eternity to find out where Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris will end up, but rumours of the Frenchman going to Lazio are ramping up.

However, nothing too concrete has thus far surfaced. According to DiMarzio, Lazio is highly interested in landing Lloris.

DiMarzio used to be the go-to transfer guru, but the transfer expert has recently lost some of his all-knowing power. While still a credible source, his authority has shrunk like spandex in a dryer.

This particular rumour, however, deserves all of our attention, not just due to the still-somewhat-reliable source but also because of who it is. Lloris is one of Spurs’ legends, devoting the last decade to the club.

While his impending exit from the Tottenham has been decided for some time, we’ve been waiting to hear any news of where he’ll land.

Lazio’s interest is genuine, but this process is still in its early stages. Both sides have yet to discuss the financials, the most integral and fundamental part of a transfer.

Whether Lazio will meet Spurs’ valuation is yet to be seen, but Daniel Levy can’t expect to get much of a return for the 36-year-old, whose in the latter stage of his career’s twilight.

Let’s see how this develops in the coming days. With only two weeks left in the transfer window, Tottenham best make this negotiation process snappy.

That can also be said for several other players Spurs are trying to offload, although the club is still waiting for would-be suitors to come out of the woodwork in those cases.
