1. Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou is Tottenham’s current frontrunner. The Greek-born gaffer has transformed Celtic since joining in the summer of 2021. Postecoglou united a polarized fanbase and spearheaded Celtic’s revival.

Installing an expansive, front-foot brand of football, Celtic overwhelms its opponents and has two Scottish league titles to show for it from two seasons under his tutelage.

While Postecoglou’s CV is less impressive than Enrique, Conte, and Mourinho’s, he knows how to galvanize and create a cohesive, inclusive, and dynamic team environment.

Taking nothing away from his Celtic accomplishments, one has to wonder whether he has the pedigree required to extract Tottenham from the doldrums with which they’re ensnared.

The 57-year-old is the oldest candidate by several years. He doesn’t scream youthful and vibrant and doesn’t have any experience in Europe’s top leagues.

So there’s definitely some cause for concern, even trepidation. However, Postecoglou is adored by Celtic supporters for the job he has done during his two years there.

He has united an entire club, both on and off the field, which sounds like the type of tonic Tottenham could use right about now.

While Postecoglou is more likely to find Tottenham an alluring proposition than most, Celtic’s 2023-24 Champions League participation will act as a deterrent. No manager wants to leave a Champions League side for one that isn’t in either top-tier European competition.
