Tottenham squares off with Sheffield United in the fifth round of FA Cup this afternoon. The Spurs won the last two meetings between these teams, both in the 2020-2021 Premier League campaign.

The Spurs are solid favorites in this match with good reason, coming off two straight Premier League shutout wins. Sheffield defeated Watford in its most recent match, but lost two straight prior to that contest.

Tottenham vs Sheffield United Prediction and Pick

Tottenham is just too talented to fall short in this battle. Son Heung-Min dominates this competition, having scored 14 goals and assisted on 11 more in 27 career FA Cup matches. Sheffield doesn’t have a player of that quality, and I see the Spurs scoring several goals en route to a win.

On top of a stellar offense led by Heung-Min and Harry Kane, Tottenham’s defense is also playing fantastic of late. The Spurs shut out five of their last seven opponents, including an impressive 1-0 victory over Manchester City.

Sheffield, on the other hand, surrendered three goals a piece to Middlesbrough and Millwall. Those two clubs are not close to Tottenham’s quality, and it wouldn’t shock me to see the Spurs net three or four goals.

With an opportunity to reach the FA Cup quarterfinals for the first time since 2017-18, expect a focused effort from Tottenham in a decisive victory.
