Considering Richarlison at Tottenham Hotspur

In January 2020, Everton controversially turned down £85 million from Barcelona for the Brazilian. However, their astronomical valuation of the forward has at least somewhat returned to the ground, as it’s rumoured a bid in the region of £50 million could tempt the Toffees.

In the past, Richarlison was known to be hot-headed and somewhat immature. In the last season at Everton, however, he became a leader during their relegation battle always wears his heart on his sleeve and plays for the badge; something which has seen him become a fan favourite at Goodison Park.

He’s undoubtedly a pain to play against but an asset to any team. And his marmite-like wind-up demeanour on the pitch is something we lack at Tottenham.

His versatility would be critical, as with an already established front three of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, and Dejan Kulusevski. Richarlison’s ability to operate in all three spots across the frontline is a huge asset, as he could provide cover for any of Spurs current forwards.

Despite apparent interest from Chelsea, the Blues reportedly have their sights set on Raheem Sterling, leaving us relatively unopposed for Richarlison’s signature. This means if Conte approves, it’s more than feasible he could be in North London next season.
