According to 90min.com, Alessandro Bastoni has officially told Inter Milan he wants a move to Tottenham to reunite with Antonio Conte.

This transfer speculation has been brewing for more than a week now, and it’s picking up steam to coincide with Friday’s opening of the summer transfer period.

Bastoni is desirous of a move to Spurs, which was already intimated.

The major outstanding issue was hearing Bastoni confirm he wants to move to north London. Now that Inter has received that confirmation, there isn’t anything standing in Tottenham’s way.

Of course Spurs will have to match Inter’s asking price, which could be closer to £60 million. Some suggest Inter might be satisfied with an amount closer to £51 million. However, this is one of the Italian club’s prized assets we’re talking about, so expect them to get everything they can from a Tottenham team that is motivated to land their man.

Spurs also have more money to spend during the summer transfer window after Daniel Levy and the ENIC big wigs committed to injecting £150 million into recruitment. Spurs are also expected to sell Steven Bergwijn, hopefully for £30 million, along with Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele.

Conte and Fabio Paratici will do everything in their power to get this monumental signing over the line.

Bastoni, who is only 23 years old, is a player who can immediately impact first-team proceedings while improve, mature and grow and develop in the years to come.

The left-sided centre back has the potential of becoming one of the world’s best, a prospect that has more chance of happening under Conte’s expert guidance.

Now that Bastoni has informed Inter of his desire to leave, Spurs will push the envelope as quickly as possible, as they’ll want to sign him before leaving on their pre-season tour in early July.

More exciting news for Spurs supporters, who are still on a high after signing Ivan Perisic, also from Inter, on a free transfer.
