We’ve seen this movie before, almost as many times as the number of Jurassic Park sequels, but here we are again, wondering if Tottenham should re-sign Gareth Bale.

Should Tottenham sign Bale one more time? That is the question once again dividing a fanbase, causing heated debates on Twitter and across the wonderful, oft-polarizing world of the internet.

Bale is done at Real Madrid. If we’re honest, Bale was done at Real Madrid a long time ago. Even he will admit that he was finished at the Galacticos before he returned to Tottenham on a one-year loan during the one of many dejecting peaks of Covid-19, when supporters weren’t permitted at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, or anywhere for that matter.

So which side of the Bale debate do you sit on, because if history has told us anything, it’s that every Tottenham supporter has a steadfast opinion on this emotionally fuelled topic.

The Pros of Re-signing Bale

Even if you disagree vehemently with bringing Bale back to Tottenham, you must see the merit it bringing him back for a final swan song.

Bale still has something to give, even if Real Madrid was too stubborn and ludicrously aggrieved to see it. He is an otherworldly talent who can win a game with one swing of his lethal left boot.

While most of us didn’t get to see it in person during his recent loan spell, he was rather effective in an abbreviated, diminished role. He didn’t start well under Jose Mourinho at Spurs, mostly due to recovering from yet another debilitating injury, but improved drastically for the second half of the campaign.
