Rightly so, Golden Boot winner Heung-Min Son claims the title of Hotspur HQ Player of the Season; however, after successful campaigns at Tottenham, Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, and Cristian Romero certainly deserve honourable mentions.

Best of the rest at Tottenham – Harry Kane

Whilst it might have taken Kane a bit more than usual to get firing, he has undoubtedly performed throughout the second part of the 2021/22 season.

The Englishman ends the campaign with 27 goals and ten assists in all competitions, with 26 of these goal contributions coming in the league. However as every Spurs fan will testify, Kane has offered more than just numbers to Antonio Conte’s side.

The forward has been a force from the halfway-line onwards for Tottenham, regularly playing quarter-back like passes through to Son, Kulusevski, and co while also being adept at carrying the ball forward himself.

Together with Son, the duo has been a deadly partnership yet again this season, breaking the record for most all-time Premier League Goal Combinations back in February, overtaking Chelsea’s Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.

Kane has also been a leader, as with club captain Lloris in goal, the Englishman has often led the team on the field, acting as a captain-like presence necessary when seeing out tight games.

With the promise of Champions League football, fans and players alike will be praying Kane remains in North London next season, as if he continues his form in an entire season of Conteball, big things could be on the cards for 2022/23.’
