Tottenham players 5 and 4 on form

As well as Hojbjerg and Son are playing right now, there are a handful of players doing even better, and two we have just met.

Fifth on form – Dejan Kulusevski

There were some questions about what Spurs were getting from Juventus when they agreed to take Dejan Kulusevski on loan from the Italian giants. However, just 12 matches into his Tottenham career, the only questions are now about how good can Deki get.

With two goals and five assists in his 12 matches, Kulusevski has had an immediate impact on the team. With two assists in the last three games, Deki can consistently deliver for the team. Seemingly the missing piece for Spurs’ front three, Kulusevski has been outstanding.

Fourth on form – Rodrigo Bentancur

Like Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur came to Tottenham during the January transfer window. Unlike Deki, Bentancur did not hit the ground running, but he has competed from the off for Spurs. Now, ten matches into his Tottenham career, Bentancur consistently demonstrates a thorough understanding and application of Conte’s play.

The biggest or strongest, Bentancur, is a willing and able tackler. Not known as a player with expansive passing range, Bentacur can ping the ball around the park and understands the field’s angles exceptionally well. Whether moving the team with the ball at his feet or directing player movement like a coach on the field, Bentancur has added to Spurs’ midfield.
