Tottenham Hotspur loanee looks to be in demand this summer

On his seventh loan since signing with Tottenham Hotspur as a youth player, Cameron Carter-Vickers has seemingly found his form at Celtic and will be in demand this summer.
It has been a long and winding road for Cameron Carter-Vickers, having joined the Tottenham Hotspur academy when he was only 16. With more loans (7) than appearances for Tottenham (5), Carter-Vickers has spent most of his time away from the club.
After a strong season last year with Bournemouth in the Championship, Carter-Vickers hoped to break through with Spurs this season. CCV played 87 minutes in Spurs’ 1-0 loss at Pacos de Ferreira Europa Conference League qualifying. Unfortunately, Carter-Vickers picked up a knock and left just before the 90 minutes.
That ankle injury kept Carter-Vickers from making another appearance, and he was loaned out to Celtic at the end of August 2021. Since arriving at Celtic, Carter-Vickers has been excellent.
In September, Cameron hit the ground running, scoring a goal in Celtics’ 3-0 win over Ross County, and has not looked back. Since making his first appearance in the side starting on matchday 5, Carter-Vickers has played every minute of every Scottish Premier League game for Celtic, except one.
With four goals and an assist in his 2400 plus minutes, Carter-Vickers has contributed to a first-place club and earned valuable European experience in the Europa League this past season.
Big, athletic, and solid on the ball, Carter-Vickers has seemingly found his form. According to Scottish outlets, this form should lead to Celtic making his loan permanent. However, it has also been reported that Wolverhampton, Burnley, and Leicester City are also interested in Carter-Vickers.
While Celtic does hold an option, Carter-Vickers will undoubtedly have a say as to where he goes. The one thing that does seem inevitable is that CCV’s time with Tottenham is likely coming to an end, and Spurs will get paid as a result.
