Tottenham were full value in their 3-1 win over West Ham in yesterday’s pivotal contest, setting up a grandstand finish in the fight for the top four.

With Harry Kane and Son Heung-min firing on all cylinders, anything is possible for Antonio Conte’s side. Throw Dejan Kulusevski into the mix and Spurs have every chance of overturning the three point deficit and snatching fourth spot from Arsenal.

The Gunners, however, are currently exceeding expectations and, other than losing to Liverpool, haven’t slipped up since failing to beat Burnley about two months ago, on Jan. 23.

Regardless, Spurs supporters are buzzing in the aftermath of a convincing home display, which came on the back of another strong outing at Brighton midweek.

If Spurs and Arsenal continue on their current trajectory, it will set up a north London derby for the ages, a match that could very well determine which side finishes fourth. Nobody is discounting Manchester United, who are also favoured after beating Spurs at Old Trafford last week.

The mood, though, has pivoted drastically in Tottenham after Kane and Son dispatched the Hammers, slamming the final nail in the East Londoners coffin. After the loss, David Moyes’ side has almost no chance of securing a berth in next season’s Champions League.

On the other hand, Tottenham can still make the improbable happen. Conte’s side can only afford to lose at Liverpool and must otherwise run the table, hoping Arsenal lose to Chelsea and draw United at Old Trafford.

With Kane and Son reaching peak form, hope is back in supporters’ vocabulary. It won’t be easy and Tottenham cannot afford any slip ups, but at least we’re distinctly in the conversation with just nine matches left to play.
