Tottenham welcome West Ham in the most important match of the season, a tilt neither side can afford to lose.

It’s not the first time Tottenham have faced a must-win match. If they don’t win, it’s unlikely they’ll be in another match of such consequence for the rest of the season.

Antonio Conte doesn’t have any new injury concerns on his plate and will be able to start his first-choice team.

Here is the team Tottenham will start with in the most crucial of London derbies.

Defence

Spurs kept their third clean sheet in four matches at Brighton on Wednesday and will look to stifle West Ham’s explosive attack. The Hammers have scored 48 goals, level with United for the fourth most in the top flight.

With that in mind, Conte will start with the only three he has full trust in: Eric Dier, Ben Davies and Cristian Romero. Spurs’ chances ride on the trio having a light’s out performance, akin to the midweek outing against the Seagulls.

Hugo Lloris starting in goal is less of a surprise than an Englishman asking for malt vinegar with his or her chips.
