Five positives from 4-0 Tottenham Hotspur win over Leeds United
By Aaron Coe
Tottenham Hotspur rebounded from a bad loss at Burnley and thrashed a struggling Leeds United. Here are five positives from Spurs’ big win.
For a team that has wrestled with consistency, Saturday’s 4-goal win over Leeds United was probably the closest Tottenham Hotspur has come to a complete performance all season. The post aided Spurs a couple of times, helping this belief in a comprehensive victory. A victory that would not be possible if not for the dynamic duo of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.
Tottenham Positive 1: Kane and Son are back in tune
Since returning from his January injury, Sonny has seemingly refound his special connection with Kane. The two are back on the same wavelength in the attack, and it has paid dividends with goals and opportunities.
Kane’s assist to Son for Spurs’ fourth goal set the new record for the most Premier League goal combinations, passing Chelsea and EPL legends Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard. Anytime anyone can pass Drogba and Lampard on any list, it is a big deal, as is this record. With Son and Kane back in a rhythm together, they should be adding to their tally as the season progresses.
