One team would recover from a tough week; fortunately for Tottenham Hotspur fans, Spurs were tops versus Leeds. Here are our ratings in the big 4-0 win.

After failing to capitalize on a big win over Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur recovered from the painful loss to Burnley with a big performance against Leeds United. Leveraging Leeds’s aggression on and off the ball, Spurs put in a solid performance, which the team sorely needed.

Led by some good performances from some surprising places, here are our ratings for Spurs in the crucial win.

Tottenham forward rating

Whatever formation Tottenham was playing with the ball, there was no doubt that Spurs were in a 5-4-1 without the ball. Given Leeds had the majority of possession, the reality is Harry Kane alone was the only forward on the field.

Centre-forward – Harry Kane – 9

After not getting much service, despite spreading the field well against Burnley, Harry Kane had more opportunities against Leeds and made the Peacocks pay. Kane scored a beautiful, first-touch, left-footed volley from a lovely chip from Pierre Hojbjerg. Intense all afternoon, Kane dropped deep often and was rewarded with an outstanding assist on a long ball to Heung-min Son.
