Full Tottenham XI and Substitutes

We have already seen that Conte is not afraid to play the same team in back-to-back matches and we can expect to see the same personnel in a slightly different formation for the Burnley test. While a player like Harry Winks could make sense for his passing in the midfield to help unlock a stiff Burnley defence, instead, we expect Conte to ride his winning hand.

Spurs Substitute Situation

The real question with the substitute situation is the health of any of the three players who missed the win over City – Sergio Reguilon, Oliver Skipp, and Japhet Tanganga. Both Skipp and Tanganga have been out with injuries, and absent something miraculous, it seems unlikely either will have not only recovered but also practiced enough to be available before the weekend trip to Leeds.

Reguilon, who missed out due to a Covid infection, may be a different story, particularly with changing regulations regarding isolation periods. If any of the three are to return, Sergio seems the most likely, but we still have him out as a precaution.

That leaves an unchanged bench from this past weekend. Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn, and Dane Scarlett provide attacking options. WInks and Harvey White are the midfield cover, with Matt Doherty, Sanchez, and Joe Rodon joining back-up keeper Pierluigi Gollin for defensive cover.
