The rumours have been swirling about the potential of Dele’s Tottenham exit, but many didn’t think this deal would get in time for the 11 pm deadline. But where there’s a will, there’s a way, and both the club and the player knew the importance of getting a new lease on life.
The once prolific superstar has run his course at Spurs after suffering a downturn in his career toward the final stages of Mauricio Pochettino’s time in charge at the club. He’s since been plagued by inconsistency and an apparent lack of desire and commitment.
The details of the deal are yet to be released, but it will be a permanent move, so there is no chance of Dele returning.
Stay tuned as further details get released. The club probably won’t officially announce this bit of business until the dust settles, probably tomorrow.
