Tottenham in advanced talks in attempt to sign Sofyan Amrabat

While nothing has been confirmed yet, Tottenham are in advanced talks with Fiorentina over the signing of midfielder Sofyan Amrabat

The transfer is purportedly contingent on Spurs confirming Tanguy Ndombele‘s loan deal to PSG. If they can get that deal across the line, it’s thought that Amrabat will become a Spurs player. And it looks like it, akin to the Ndombele deal, that Amrabat will be brought in on loan with an option to buy.

It’s not exactly the high-profile transfer Spurs supporters are clamouring to hear confirmation of. And while it’s not yet confirmed, the probability of Amrabat joining Spurs is high. The player is gung-ho on joining the north London club and Fiorentina is also pushing to get the deal done.

While Tottenham’s pursuit of Amrabat comes as a surprise to many, especially considering his underwhelming contribution recently at FiorentinaAntonio Conte is a big advocate of the Moroccan’s.

One can only trust Conte’s judge of character and talent, so if he sees something in the 25-year-old others don’t, so be it.

Though it would be bitterly disappointing if the Moroccan ends up being the only signing of the transfer period. Surely Fabio Paratici won’t let that happen. Having said that, even this deal isn’t done quite yet.
