It may have been a couple of days ago now and the team’s attention is on Chelsea this weekend but Tottenham Hotspur’s win over Leicester was truly special.

In the end, it was just three points, however, Tottenham Hotspur’s comeback victory over Leicester City was so much more. A couple of days later I’m still excited thinking about it, thinking about our team, and watching those goals again and again.

That kind of feeling of excitement and belief within a club’s community is just one of the reasons, Spurs win over Leicester was more than just three points and really was a big deal.

Tottenham still unbeaten in the league under Conte

Given Spurs have been knocked out of two competitions maybe the unbeaten under Conte thing may seem a stretch unless the players think it means something. Luck and superstition are only what you make of them, but the reality is Spurs are unbeaten under Conte in the league winning six and drawing three under the new gaffer.

21 points from 27 equate to a 2.33 per match average, which would be 89 points over a season.  Currently, FiveThirtyEight has Manchester City predicted to win the league – running away – on 93 points. This does not mean Spurs will get to 89 points, that ship has sailed but consistently taking points as they have is a big deal.

It is a big deal, as Spurs are now legitimately in the top four race and could even have realistic eyes on third place with their games in hand and Chelsea’s current league form. Tottenham needs to keep pushing to maintain that unbeaten run and prove, Conte is building something different.
