Mauricio Pochettino signed 24 players during his five years at Tottenham, a few of whom have endured largely ineffective stints with the north London side.

There’s no doubt Mauricio Pochettino is one of Tottenham’s best managers of all time. But even the maestro made some mistakes. He is human after all.

Only nine of the 24 players still don the Spurs’ lily white. Most have either moved on to pastures anew or, in some cases, have hung their boots up altogether. Some of the maestro’s signings still continually please and delight, which I’ll focus on in a later piece, while others went down like a lead balloon.

Here’s three of the signings Pochettino has probably tried to erase from his selective memory bank, though, particularly with #2 and #1, will never be able to forget.

There were a bunch of failed Pochettino signings who no longer play for Spurs, but I’ll be focussing on those who do.
