With the transfer market now open, one position Tottenham Hotspur must consider strengthening is left-back, here are several who could work under Antonio Conte.

Spurs have a number of needs as the new transfer window opens for the first time under coach Conte at the club. While a new creative player and a back-up for Harry Kane should be high on the priority list, so too should be a new left-back.

Ben Davies has been nothing short of awesome under Conte and looks more comfortable than he has anytime since before Mauricio Pochettino left N17. That said, the depth behind Davies is severely lacking as evidenced by Davison Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga taking turns trying to replace Davies to underwhelming effect.

Davies is a solid starter in Conte’s system but Spurs need depth and having someone to push and eventually replace Davies over the next couple of seasons would be ideal.

We previously explored the available left-center-backs in the market several months ago but that was with Jose Mourinho in charge, well before Paratici, Conte, and a base-three-man defence. With identifying the right fit for Conte’s back-three in mind, here are several left-backs for Spurs to consider.
