Reinvigorated talisman expected to return to Tottenham after international break

Harry Kane sprung into life with a first-half hat trick against Albania, a statement performance that should help reinvigorate the Tottenham ace upon his return to north London.
England’s captain put forth a dominant display against an Albanian side clearly ill-suited to combat the Three Lions’ prolific attack. Kane made the most of his opportunity to re-inject confidence that has clearly been lacking at his club side. Playing free and unfettered, Kane enjoyed a match befitting of his superstar status.
Even though his 42nd, 43rd and 44th England goals came against a bewildered defence, Kane will use the outstanding performance as a platform to build from. And that’s brilliant news for Antonio Conte and Tottenham.
It’s unlikely Kane will start in this evening’s match against San Marino, more excellent news for the Lilywhites. Kane will return to Tottenham’s camp healthy, confident and, hopefully, ready to take on the next chapter of his Spurs journey by the horns.
Kane’s struggles since missing out on a move to Manchester City are well documented. The emotion of losing a European Championships Final along with being tempted by one of the world’s biggest clubs is enough to derail even the most incorruptible footballer.
Maybe Kane’s performance against Albania is the catalyst Kane requires to recapture his Golden-Boot form at club level. While it might be too simplistic to assume one 45-minute period against a mediocre international squad will reignite his club career, players like Kane need only the merest of sparks to reignite an unstoppable blaze.
There might be too much of a gap to make up on Mo Salah to win a fourth total and second successive Golden Boot, but one can never bet against an in-form Kane. His chances of reining in Salah are inconsequential as long as he helps Tottenham climb the table and return to the vintage form we’ve all come to expect.
