Both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have had some rough patches this season. United is in the midst of one as they have won none and lost three of their last four matches in the Premier League. While Tottenham is also coming off of a loss, Spurs had a similar difficult spell – losing three straight – early this season.

Despite Spurs’ loss to West Ham, it seems coach Nuno Espirito Santo has found a team, if not an approach that is to his liking. And while the starting Xi in the league has been somewhat fixed, there are decisions Santo must make at each level of the team that will be critical to success. How those big decisions play out will be a critical factor in the outcome of the match.

Hugo Lloris – Goalkeeper

Hugo Lloris will of course be starting for Tottenham in goal. Lloris has not had a clean sheet since before the first international break but the Frenchman has not been playing particularly poorly. Rather, it has been the old theme of set pieces and defensive mistakes that have kept Lloris and Spurs from consistent clean sheets. Hugo will need to make three maybe four saves to get that clean sheet, the question is how many will he get.
