With three bad losses next to four narrow wins, Tottenham Hotspur has been more bad than good thus far in the 2021/22 season, here are the biggest disappointments for Spurs thus far.

Tottenham Hotspur has had a few bright spots this season, with some developing talent and promising summer signings. However, with the rebuild only just underway, most knew there would be some growing pains during this campaign.  Mistakes and errors from some of the younger players were to be expected but those have not been the most damning factors in the bad losses. Rather, these disappointments have been the cause of much strife starting with the inability to score.

Kane and company need to create chances and score

Tottenham has struggled to score this season, having scored more than one goal only once through seven matches. Harry Kane is front and center in terms of the scoring problem having not scored yet in the league this season.

Of course, Kane is too good to think he will not start scoring eventually, however, the lack of chances Kane and everyone else have been getting is equally disappointing. Even when Spurs were not scoring a lot under Jose Mourinho, the team was consistently creating clear-cut scoring opportunities. This season, those good chances have been few and far between and the teams have struggled to score as a result.

Defensive lapses happen but if the team is not scoring there is no margin for error. If Tottenham cannot start finding a way to consistently create chances, ideally for Harry Kane, then the season will not be successful.
