On Sunday Tottenham’s Argentina International story took another turn while another Spur’s player hit a milestone on a memorable day of World Cup qualifying.

With the World Cup already being played in the middle of the club season next year, it is no surprise that qualifying for the Copa Mundial making news. Literally, since the moment the squads got announced the story of Premier League players and traveling to South America has been mirky. And while the drama continues in South America for Tottenham Hotspur players, in Europe it was a better day for the two Spurs involved in the play.

Harry Kane hits England Milestone

After playing a full 90 on Thursday against Hungary and scoring one of the four England goals in the demolition. Kane started the game on the bench but was one of three players to come on for the Three Lions just after the hour.

A penalty in the box on Mason Mount led to Harry Kane stepping up and burying a spot-kick for his 40th career goal for England. That put England two goals in front of Andorra and well on their way to another 4 goal shellacking.

Being number 40 for Kane is significant as he is only the sixth man to score 40 goals for England, tying him with Michael Owen for fifth place on the all-time list. More importantly for England, the win was the fifth in succession in qualifying leaving the Three Lions atop Group I by 5 points on 15 and tied with Denmark as the only perfect team thus far in this round of qualifying.
