Tottenham Loan Decision – Nile John

If White has dropped down the Tottenham depth chart this season it is more from the positive play of fellow midfielder Nile John than it is from anything White is doing wrong. Nile John has now started two preseason matches for the club. The first John was next to Winks in the midfield in the third match he was next to Skipp seemingly replacing Winks.

John an impact teenager for Tottenham?

John is a young player at only 18-years of age but did debut with the senior team last season in the Europa League playing nine minutes against Wolfsverger in the round of 32. Those nine minutes are all John has at the top level with all of his other experience coming from the Premier League 2, or the U18 Premier League.

That said, teenagers impact teams all the time, and John seems to have a future at the club that may be coming sooner than later. It seems unlikely that John would be loaned out this season as a player close to breaking through but plenty young enough to go on a loan next season if that makes more sense.

Regardless of who comes or goes from the Spurs midfielder expect John in and around the first-team for at least the first half of the season.
