Harry Kane has endured a rough start to his Euro 2020 campaign with England, with the Tottenham talisman withdrawn from both matches thus far.

Spurs’ marksman has been a step off the pace, unable to make his usual indomitable presence felt. He hasn’t been able to get on the ball and his touch has let him down when that rare occasion arises. Kane’s passes have also missed the mark, many of which not reaching the intended destination.

His performances against Croatia and Scotland fell grossly short of his usual exceedingly high standard. Unable to get a foothold in either match, England’s captain was substituted in both of England’s encounters, a worrying scene for Three Lions supporters.

But is Kane to blame for his languid opening to Euro 2020?
